Editorial policy

Original content

Guides are written for this site. We do not copy or reword competitors’ articles, and we do not invent first-hand experiences, interviews, qualifications, reviews or statistics.

Sources

Factual claims about law and regulation link to primary sources such as legislation.gov.uk and GOV.UK. Price records always name their source.

Review and dates

Every guide starts as a draft and is only published by a deliberate editorial action. A “last reviewed” date is shown only when a review has actually taken place.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it and keep a record of the change. Use our contact page to report an error.

Advertising

Advertising, if shown, is clearly labelled, never placed over prices or calculator results, and has no influence on our content or figures.
